The Cherai beach , an emerging tourist Centre bordering Vypin Island. Quite a natural atmosphere welcomes us here with paddy fields & coconut groves .It is separated by Vembanattu back water east wards the Azhikkodu fishing harbour at the northern tip & the cochin harbor south wards. Being a part of Vypin Island, beautiful coconut groves, backwater etc. makes this place heavenly beautiful & enchanting. Munnar is rich in its flora and fauna. There are several protected areas nearby some of them are new Kurinjimala sanctuary to east, the Chinnar wildlife sanctuary, Manjampatti valley, Eravikulam national park and Anamudi Shola national park to north, the Pampadum Shola national park to south. The rich jungles of Periyar has the most fascinating natural wildlife reserves. The Periyar forests are one of the evergreen forests. There is a splendid artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar dam across river Periyar which enhances the charm of the area. Thekkady is located near to Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. It has a moist deciduous forests and savanna grass lands. Alappuzha is famous for its boat races like Nehru trophy boat race on Punnamada lake. It also has its own attractions of famous pilgrimage centres also. Coir is the main commodity manufactured in Alappuzha. The rice bowl of Kerala Kuttanad is located at Alapuzha. Kettuvalloms or houseboats are boats that were earlier used for transport of goods. A ride on houseboats is a wonderful experience to explore the fascinating beauty of backwaters. Alappuzha has several canals & lakes fit for boat cruises. Three prominent rivers in south Kerala viz. Achan koil, pampa & Manimala empty in to the lakes.

Every year in the month of September BOAT RACE ( VALLAM KALI) is there in Kumarakom. We can spot elegant special boats like Kochu-odi vallam, Odi vallam, iruttukuthi vallam, Churulan vallam and Chundan vallam at Kumarakom.Pearl spot or " Karimeen " is the most freshwater fish in Kumarakom, By using this fish they are making " karimeen pollichathu " which is a fabulous food item in Kumarakom hotels & houseboats. Kumarakom is declared as a special tourism zone by the Kerala government. Kumarakom have a moderate climate throughout the year.

Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent beaches is just from 16 km from Trivandrum. A beautiful bay created by massive rocky promontory on the beach produces calm water ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach includes diverse - sun bathing, Swimming etc. Boundless blue of Arabian sea & vast stretches of golden sands, never ending spread of coconut palms made Kovalam famous by beach resort. It is one of the cleanest beaches in India. The Hill Palace ,Archeological museum, Kuthiramalika Museum, Zoo are the another historical places located here.

Vivekananda rock memorial is one of the popular tourist monument in Kanyakumari. It has a statue of Vivekananda in the Dhyana mandapam. There is another historical building which is the Gandhi memorial. It is built on he sport where the urn containing Gandhiji's ashes was kept for public viewing before it was immersed. It is the southernmost tip of peninsular India. Kanyakumari is famous for its spectacular and unique sunrise and sunset. The place is notable both for pilgrimage and tourism equally.
